Like MKO, Like BAT
I admire BAT but I am not supporting
him. This is principally for two reasons.
Firstly, I believe OBJ is not an Igbo man and therefore, it is the turn of the Igbos to provide a President.
Secondly, I believe he should not make the mistake of MKO.
BAT has amassed wealth through unclear and debatable means like MKO.
Like MKO he is a friend of the North even if the North do not trust him.
Politically he is relevant. He has a name. He should be satisfied with that. MKO nursed a Presidential ambition and lost his life pursuing it. I admire BAT too much to wish him same.
What inspired this piece is the note from Pius Akinyelure, who described himself as BAT's Boss in Mobil. He claimed BAT's credentials were so good Mobil hired him as a senior Auditor. He also claimed that BAT did an audit that indicted the MD. MKO blackmailed his Boss in ITT.
Furthermore, he claimed, the audit was so good BAT was made the Treasurer of Mobil.
Interestingly, Elder Akinyelure did not bother to go beyond Mobil.
It reminded me of Jubril Aminu who granted an Interview and set limits for the Interviewers. I suspect, Elder Akinyelure did so in not going beyond Mobil.
More interestingly, I saw a report purportedly from Nuhu Ribadu on how EFCC investigated Lagos State under BAT and found nothing to take to court.
Nuhu Ribadu worked for OBJ who did not see eye to eye with BAT but it is no secret that Nuhu Ribadu and BAT are friends.
Nuhu Ribadu could go ahead and explain if they became friends outside EFCC or with him there.
I recall BAT being docked by Code of Conduct Bureau under GEJ.
The result was a clean Bill of health. The pay off was that BAT betrayed Nuhu Ribadu, his party's Presidential candidate.
BAT as Afobaje is OKAY. Aseju, NO.
Just like my previous comment that another case of MKO loading... Payback time...
