Between BAT and Atiku

BAT and Atiku are two of a kind. Sometimes, they are fellow travellers

but today, they belong to opposing camps.

They are actually after my heart as consumate politicians. They would have had my support but what Nigeria needs today is different.

They both know how to service loyalty. If they have followers, it is because they are typical Nigerian politicians.

Politics in Nigeria is more of now than later. The Nigerian politician operating in an atmosphere of want, want of the most basic type, want of food, thrives on vote buying. Remember, the two bullion vans?

Those who thrive are those who are able to demonstrate how deep their pockets are.

BAT and Atiku have deep pockets but they are neither Rabiu of BUA nor Dangote. So where do they get their money from?

BAT is a Godfather. So too is Atiku. None can be trusted not to try to recover his campaign expenses in a way that may not pass a test of probity.

That is why in spite of my respect for their ability to maintain their following, I consider them unsuitable for Nigerian needs today.

The interesting thing is that both see 2023 as a last ditch opportunity at Nigerian Presidency.

Their Presidency is not certain but it would be interesting to see how they manage their inability to make the trip to ASO Villa.

  1. Honestly, they are alike. Who can tell/stop a lion not to eat flesh?

2022 is the determinant year. The country needs a serious builder. We never believed it can be this bad.

  2. The present day Nigeria needs much more, a new type of leadership which the people themselves must choose. The question is...are we ready to choose the kind of leaders we want?
