BAT and his bullion vans

No Nigerian politician represents Nigerian politics better than BAT. I have

often found myself arguing whether market women who are rude to their customers do not do that based on their reliance on charms to make sales?

In saner societies, public office holders and office aspirants act with circumspect. This is because for any act of indiscretion, they bid bye to their office or their ambition.

But not so in Nigeria. BAT's bullion vans on Election day was a monumental act of indiscretion worthy of a public apology. But not so in Nigeria.

In Lagos State Senators have terms of office. But one Senator is not so limited and that is the wife of BAT.

BAT's son is in charge of public outdoor adverts and the daughter head of market women.

These are acts of indiscretion that are injurious to public standing of

prospective public office holders.

With Marabouts very active in Nigerian politics, I would not be surprised if the above as few examples out of the odious baggage of BAT are enough to discourage him from vying for public office.

No doubt, BAT is a man and of ideas but it is better he retires while the ovation is now rather than when people would be wondering what else he wants.
