Owoda? Owoda? What do transport Unions do with their collections?

I live in Lagos, the centre of

Excellence.

Owoda means where is the money in Yoruba Language.

Every commuter in Lagos must have at one time or the other heard this question.

The question is ' to what end is this money collected'?

The transport Unions, we know are very powerful. Please if you know what they do with the money being collected, kindly send in your response in the comments section of this blog.

Violence rules our Elections. These Unionists believe in violence and they make their collections with violence. The transport Unions are very close to politicians. Do they coerce people to vote?

No. Instead they intimidate peace loving voters into abandoning their franchise.

They remain behind to supervise and participate in Vote tampering at polling centres.

Otherwise, why will politicians who love to appear in public as Doves work hand in hand with people who are constantly associated with violence?

There you get your response. The politicians are wolves in sheep's skin.

  1. Part of the collections go to the politicians especially members of the state house of Assembly, to the traditional institutions in the state, to the Nigerian labour congress and to so many other bodies. That is why it's difficult for anyone to fight them and win. They have the hidden support of almost all the powers that be within the state. That was my findings way back.
