Army Helicopters

Now that Air travel has become the preferred means of travel due to

insecurity, what is the response of our armed forces?

Time, there was when in the US, dodging Military draft was a big deal for politicians.

Today, our politics has a healthy dose of politicians with Military background.

Our current President is a retired Army General. Could the insecurity ravaging the land be worse were our President not a retired Army General?

My grouse this morning is that our armed forces have failed us. They have medals from Congo, Ecomog and the Nigerian civil war and yet they cannot overrun boko haram and bandits except by propaganda.

Inflation is ravaging the world. Air travel is now the secured means of going home for festivities, in our country.

Can our military help with their Helicopters? You may wonder why I am bringing up this? Simple. Restitution!

Their failure has brought about the preference for air travel. Let them show remorse. If the Helicopters cannot do what they were bought to do, at least let them pretend to be useful to the people.

Government may have better ideas but they should not pretend to be helpless. In times of adversity, that is when friends indeed count.

Can we count on our government?
