Should APC win Anambra Elections, ......

In places where Votes count, it is easier for the Camel to pass through the

needle's eye than for an incumbent to win an election.

In Anambra state, South East Nigeria, APGA is the ruling party but APC is the party to beat.

Why is APC, the party to beat? APC is the party at the centre. The popularity of APC is like the popularity of Quinine to little children.

The love of APC is the love of the party at the centre and all that is plaguing Nigeria.

It is inconceivable that APC be popular in a South Eastern State. Imo happened because of the power of the Supreme Court.

Should APC win in Anambra state, I will be among the last to shout rigging but rather I will attribute it to the splitting of votes among the protagonists to the benefit of the antagonist.

Remember, that, though the prize be local, it is a national Election. You know the complexion of Elections organized by State Electoral Commissions.

Nothing campaigns against state police more than the attrocities of state electoral Commissions.

Now that INEC is in charge expect bias in favour of the APC but should APC win, just add up the votes of APGA and PDP and see if they are less than the votes of APC.

I recall an incident in the Governorship Elections in Lagos State where a lady was rumoured to have stepped down. Indeed the lady, an upstart was garnering popular following but lacked experience.

No one knows how far she would have gone in the absence of the rumour but she never recovered and till date she is still missing from the political arena.

The same trick surfaced in the Anambra Elections. Although, I cannot really say what the strength of the candidate who was rumoured to have stepped down is.

There is a candidate that caught my attention. That is Maduka of Accord party.

This candidate won so many Press awards that I feared he was a phantom candidate.

So far my fears are coming true. But perhaps, his Press votes have not started counting or perhaps unknown to me he had withdrawn.
