No one has neglected the Boy Child

To think that the boy child is now getting the short end of the stick in our

society is to embark on a meaningless exercise.

If girls are doing better than hitherto, it is kudos for the reforms going on in society.

It is still a man's world. The future may be female.

People point at the dominance of men in crime and point at neglect of the male child.

A lot has been said and done in respect of uplifting the female child. If the preponderance of men in crime today is a pointer to a neglect of the male child, the question then arises as to whether females were more in the past, in respect of criminal activities?

The truth of the matter is that opportunities are dwindling in the society for all youths irrespective of their gender.

For crying out loud, boys are still boys and girls are still girls, with boys doing all in their power to woo the girls.

For those who think the male child has been neglected to the advantage of the girls, the question arises as to whether, more females are now wooing males than previously.

Should the answer be in the affirmative, perhaps females have started paying the men to get married to them too?

The truth of the matter is that if females are improving, surely statistically it has to be at the expense of the male child. But that is not to say that the male Child is in anyway in danger of neglect or is being neglected.

Biologically, male children are more adventurous than females and the quest to dominate and win the hearts of the females in the absence of legal opportunities would ipso facto lead them into illegal Ventures.

This is not neglect but a wake up call for the environment to be better enabled for legitimate activities.

  1. An average African has always preferred a male child to inherit their legacy so their names will not be forgotten.
