Lekki Toll Gate on 201020

The centre of excellence as Lagos State is known have received the report of

the panel set up to unravel the mystery behind the dead and their corpses on that fateful day, at the Lekki Toll Gate.

While the report is being leaked and enmeshed in controversy I dare to ask some questions.

1. Was there shooting at the Toll Gate on 201020?

2. If yes, who did?

On Arise TV on that day, the shooting was shown live.

Dj Switch also filmed it.

It is an open secret that many celebrities failed to turn up at the venue of the protest on that day.

It is also an open secret that Lights were turned off at the Toll Gate on that day.

To what purpose were the Lights turned off?

Who gave the order? Who tampered with the Close Circuit TV?

The curfew by the government of Lagos State was initially to start by 4pm and later made to commence later.

The shooting commenced by 7pm well before the start of the curfew.

The Military must have been invited to come enforce the curfew. Apparently, the ruling class was scared and with the force of arms they tried to have their way forgetting that the world has moved on from that era when might was always right.

Welcome to the new age.

Our rulers have erred and are now in a hole. The best course of action is for them to accept, retreat, repent and restitute.

Any other way will amount to postponing the day of reckoning. The blood of innocent nobodies were spilt.

If there was no shooting who went to the scene for a clean up?

The whole idea of the shooting was intimidation and defence of the flow of money from the Toll Gate. No wonder LCC is very uncooperative. Perhaps they are yet to smell the coffee.

Many questions have been answered by the panel but the most important question has neither been asked not answered. Who ordered the shooting?

It is central to the whole drama. As soon LCC realizes the importance of that question, their attitude to the unfortunate events would change from arrogance to regret.

I dare say that the fate of Ango Abdullahi who erred as Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, when he said that only four students died as a result of a riot and for that he never recovered to bid for any Political office just like Senator Edward Kennedy and the Chappaquiddick affair, await the person or persons who ordered the shooting.

Their best course of action is to eat the humble pie.
