How far gone is Nigeria?

There are times and seasons in the affairs of men as of nations. How far

gone is Nigeria on the part of doom?

There are structures on ground in Nigeria to prevent, what we are seeing today.

But then why are we seeing them? Religion, Politics and greed are largely responsible.

Religion in the sense that there is a false tendency towards righting some perceived wrongs of the past without minding the damage to national psyche and cohesion.

Politically some people have a feeling of being marginalized and maligned in a winner take all manner of the past. This appears an opportunity to get even.

Greed comes in when the fear of losing government patronage cowers otherwise perceptive minds from vocalizing their grievances and objections to wrong moves by government operatives.

Analysts have pointed at the Nigerian situation and come to the conclusion that Nigeria has tipped the scales.

They may be right but the silver lining is that there is a pattern to the madness in sight. The Dramatis Personae have those in society they defer to. In the fullness of time, the various divisive forces can and will be assuaged but for now, the sight is akin to viewing a jungle from a distance, resulting in seeing inpenetration but a closer look reveals the openings!

  1. No one seems to understand the direction we are. Since we abandoned the system of having economy rolling plans in the 80s. Now we see yearly budget but no clear sense of direction towards technological and economic development of the country.

The absence of development is the results of pocket of insecurity and regional agitations.
