Accountant - General's office to spend N3m a month on fumigation
Have you heard the News? With apologies to Reggae legend, Jimmy Cliff,
that was the title of his song after his arrest in Kano on his visit to Nigeria, decades ago.The Accountant - General of the federation is budgeting N3m a month in the fiscal year 2022 for fumigation.
Among the pests to be targeted are Antelopes. Isn't that funny?
It is quite interesting that such an amount should go into our national budget.
I wonder what our youths in the villages will make of that?
Snakes I understand but Antelopes as wild animals, beats my imagination.
The Accountant - General says the amount isn't too much as they have 38 offices all over the federation including a school on a wide expanse of land where there are snakes and Antelopes. I hope he was joking when he claimed his people thought one of the Antelopes was a lion, indeed?
I wonder if high Office takes the village away from us and catapults us into the city? Assuming the high ranking officials were all born with silver spoons in their mouth, what about the low ranking staff in an institution in the village?
Remember, the rule about catchment area.
Mr. Accountant General every three year old knows that a Lion is king of the jungle and in no way looks like an Antelope, except that they both walk on four legs but what threat does an Antelope pose to man?
A Lion we all know is a carnivore but an Antelope?
An Antelope does not have a mane and is more likely to run from man than attack man. A Lion?
Please, steer clear.
My prayer is that we return to an era where unemployment will throw up the best for all offices in our country, such that big men do not take us, their country men and women for fools who can mistake an Antelope for a Lion!
Niger l hail o.............3MILLION FOR FUMIGATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn the end, there might be no fumigation work.
ReplyDeleteAnd if N3m is budgeted for fumigation, how much will toiletries, stationery etc be??.
May the Almighty God help our dear country. Amen
