In celebration of the girl child

Today is the International day of the

girl child.

Children are a gift from God. The girl child is so so special. Before I was Blessed with a girl child, I was scared of having a girl child.

However, my experience with my girl child has further heightened the respect I have for the feminine gender.

At work and at home, women are special. They are believed to be the weaker sex but believe me, they make things happen.

They are very perceptive and strategic in their thinking. What the man fails to see, they have long spotted.

The man may think he protects the woman but it is the other way round.

The woman nudges the man in the way of safety and away from danger.

In courtship, the man may think he is doing the chasing but rather it is the woman using her tail lights to direct him where to turn and run.

When people say behind every successful man, there is a woman, that is exactly what is meant.

The girl child needs to be celebrated for always punching above their weight.

A man always knows his limits but the girl child knows how to operate at both ends of the spectrum. Both as the Boss and the victim.

Show me a successful man who has no regard for his wife and I will show you an accident waiting to happen.

The girl child may not always get it right but their ability to make things happen without showing up is legendary.

The man always shows up but it is often either at the behest of the woman or to get her attention.

To all girl children, inclusive of my mother, my wife, my daughter and my sisters and aunties, my regards to you all on this your special day.
