Umahi weeping more than the bereaved

Once upon a time I heard that Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi was quite

hardworking, which in itself is quite commendable. Was it not said that the reward for hard work is harder work, like moving from Governorship to Presidency.

In Dave Umahi's case, he having found out that the People's Democratic Party may not be good enough has since joined the President's Party.

In the spirit of Biafra, I doubt if the people of Ebonyi are in the same boat with Dave Umahi in challenging Governor Wike to a debate in respect of the VAT revolution in Nigeria.

Dave Umahi governor of Ebonyi State that may not be now harbouring high hopes on VAT may also believe that fighting WIke would endear him to his party bigwigs.

However, if the stance of Lagos State an APC state is anything to go by, then Dave Umahi may have had his work cut out for him.

He needs to go back to the drawing board and think more of what he can get from the good people of Ebonyi instead of pandering to his Political godfathers.

The real restructuring has commenced. Dave Umahi should lean in favour of Wike and not against him.

When the chips are down a Governor Umahi who openly swims against the tide of History may not survive the backlash.

The time to stop and do more soul searching is now.
