NNPC incorporated, what has changed?

Owners of a business pick the board members. What has changed in

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation?

NNPC had a board, now it has a new Board. Now that an Imo man has been made Chairman, does it mean, Imo has the largest stake in Nigerian Oil Industry or is it in exchange for Igbo Presidency?

The sudden spike in the profit of NNPC is still generating doubts and now a brand new board with Federal character.

How does the Board reflect the disparity in the ownership of Nigerian Oil or is it a case of equal ownership ala Federal character?

So where is the business sense? I honestly thought the structure of the Board will reflect the principle of derivation and not Federal character.

Derivation is more in line with Business principles while Federal character is Political in name and nature.

The past with no green line was Political and a desire to move from red to green should dwell more on derivation than Federal character.

What do I know?
