Now that the Talibans are having their way, any lessons for Nigeria?

No thanks to the present Nigerian government, Nigeria has gone back to

it's pre 1914 status.

Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria are today a reality. The Talibans are the Boko Haram of Nigeria. The Nigerian government of today are the US backed fallen Government of Afghanistan.

Interestingly, while the US wanted the Afghan government to overcome the Talibans, the same cannot be said of the Nigerian government.

What then is the difference in outcome? Honestly, no difference.

If the US government could be defeated in spite of its might and size, the Nigerian government would equally be overrun.

What to do?

Simple. The South should intensify their resolve for a formal return to Nigeria pre 1914.

Two things will come from this resolution. Firstly, southerners would no longer be slaughtered on the altar of Baal.

Secondly, the Northerners would come to terms with Boko Haram and cease fighting.

In reality, the agitations are targeted at the South and not the North.

What binds Boko Haram to the North is thicker than what binds the North to the South of Nigeria.

Southerners may not realize it, but the neighbours of Nigeria, to the North are more at home in the North than we Southerners are in the North.

They dress alike and think alike. We Southerners often stand out like a sore thumb. Think of it: how do you feel about a sore thumb? Like or dislike?

Every man to his tent till we find a common ground. Till then, Shine your eye.
