James Manager and Ibori

It is the nature of our politics where might is right. It is rooted in our

culture.

An elder is never wrong. You cannot challenge your leader.

Any wonder why Politicians are defecting in droves to the ruling All Progressives Congress?

That a Senator is kneeling before an ex Governor is not peculiar. Remember Chris Uba, a party chieftain slapping his Governor.

It cuts across. The question is which way forward? It is not enough that we express surprise and condemn the act, we just have to fashion a way forward.

What are the causes of this kind of subservient behaviour? Is it avoidable?

At the root of most our problems of development is the belief that might is right, when we are not in the jungle.

Have we not heard of corporal punishment in private Universities, that are supposed to be our beacon of hope?

Blame not James Manager, it is the system. James Ibori like other Godfathers was in a position to build a big war chest and he did a brilliant job of it.

How do we end the politics of Godfatherism? How can the aces be transferred to the electorate?

We can mock James Manager to no end, it does not stop the tyranny of University lecturers against their students male and female, married and unmarried.

It does not stop police brutality. It does not stop the tyranny of employers against employees.

Ever heard of the story of domestic hands?

It is endless. We just have to end it. To live in denial is to let the sore fester.

How we can do it, I do not know but in our best interest, we just have to put an end to it.

It is Ibori today, who knows who it would be tomorrow?
