Why fighting Igboho is more beneficial than finding Shekau

Shekau's Boko Haram is fighting the Nigerian State. Sunday Igboho is

defending his Yoruba people against brigandage by armed Herdsmen.

Today, fighting Igboho by Nigerian security agencies is an open sesame to career progress. Fighting Shekau by Security agents could cost them their lives.

Even GEJ wondered if there were no Biko Haram agents in his government?

How did we get here?

I read a beautiful piece on what would have been written about PMB had he not been elected as Nigerian President, and I totally agree.

Much would have been written about how he would have saved Nigeria from corruption and left a legacy like Nelson Mandela did for South Africans.

Thankfully, he is President and there are no ifs.

The irony of the situation is that while majority thought of PMB as a Saint some people actually knew him better than the majority.

Sadly it is those like BAT who knew him as a divisive element, something the majority did not know, who thrust him on Nigerians.

Today, everyone has seen him for what he is and represents. And like the piece I mentioned earlier did point out, the Fulanis are now better known and more hated than before. All thanks to PMB.

A man who glowingly and patriotically talked about having no other country but Nigeria but now shows strange affection for Niger.

When PMB had Tunde Idiagbon, a fellow Muslim for a deputy, in a country with our type of religious sensitivities, no one raised an eyebrow, not knowing that it was his way of giving us a foretaste of what he is today.

Interestingly, where many who had ruled Nigeria before did so without longing for or expecting it, PMB tried severally and the result is worse than for those who were accidentally thrust into power.

The Civil war was fought by a United Nigeria against a want away Eastern Nigeria, today it is the North alone fighting against the rest of Nigeria. Sadly, the Nigerian Army that had been masquerading as a national entity has bared it's fangs as a tool in the hands of the North to pamper Boko Haram and pepper all other agitators against misrule as shown at the Lekki Toll gate, Eastern Nigeria and now fighting Igboho.

Fighting on all fronts isn't going to be a piece of cake. I lovingly look forward to when southerners in the Nigerian Security establishment would stop looking up north for promotion but do what Northern soldiers are doing, turning the other way where their interests are involved.

I am happy Miyetti Allah is asking Northern Herdsmen to head back North. Southerners should not wait to be attacked.

What is good for the Goose is good for the gander. With their peaceful disposition and entrepreneurial spirit, the rest of Africa would be too happy to accommodate fleeing Southerners.

Enough of the North using resources from the South to play God to Southerners. Let them use their grains and yams to their hearts content.

We are more than able to manage our resources. Enough of Northerners using resources from the South to manipulate Southerners playing the West against the East by throwing crumbs to willing Southerners.
