Deportation within your country
Nigeria is unraveling and I am hopeful. It was Karl Marx that said that conflict
is the vehicle of progress.
For too long have various parts of Nigeria been hurting. Today, everybody is revolting and asking questions.
The sad part for us is that instead of a Frederick De Klerk, we have an ailing man for a leader.
Effectively, it may not be in the hands of PMB for a way out but in our hands guided by God.
In taking matters into our hands, I counsel that we should think our processes through.
While I shudder at the implications of deporting Northerners from the South under any guise, may we prepare Internally Displaced Persons camp for our people too, lest we are caught napping.
I personally do not see the Nigerian project as the be all and end all project. It is not a marriage that cannot be annulled.
The United Nations is very clear on the principles of self determination. A people that cannot be forced to remain in a union where they see their future as bleak.
For now not a few are disgruntled. It is about time we experience our glasnost and perestroika.
I wonder if greatness is inborn or inherited or learned?
I ask this in relation to our current situation but the problem is that PMB of today granted his circumstances renders the above irrelevant.
Where then should our relief come from?
