When a child continuously points in one direction

It is a pity where we have found

ourselves today. Years of military rule. Civilian rule and then IBB and his tales by moonlight.

Then rotational Presidency. When Yar'Adua died, it was difficult getting his deputy to takeover.

The difficulty stemmed from the fact that Yar'Adua died before completing his term of office. If Yar'Adua died from an accident, the difficulty would have been understandable but no.

Obj knew he was ill and yet foisted him on the people. If GEJ had been competent it could have compensated for the error but his inexperience pushed him into a wrong choice of friends.

OBJ had to an extent corrected some of the inequalities in our polity but no. He was blinded by rage for inability to amend the constitution to get a third term.

Although, he says he has bought his ticket but how does he feel about his Nigeria of today?

GEJ was a weakling of a President. His inexperience did him no favours. Like OBJ, blind ambition pushed BAT into foisting an unhealthy PMB on Nigeria.

Today, in spite of BAT's poor health, he too wants to be President.

Much as rotational Presidency has its merit in quashing the idea of some being born to rule, the aftermath of a leader dying in office is disturbing.

After the Igbos. The North East need a bite of the cherry. Not that it is the best but it fosters inclusiveness.

Please, thereafter we should return to picking the best for that is what we deserve to compete with the best.
