My Gift from God is a year older


 My jewel of inestimable value is a year older today and I just cannot pretend, it is not worth celebrating.

Patricia Omotoke Emelifonwu from Awe in Oyo State. She stole my heart at St Mary's Catholic Church Isolo.
Then I was a chorister and I remember being told her dad of Blessed memory had to inquire from members of the choir about my suitability.
I think I passed the test, because I was in good standing with those from whom, he inquired.
I am happy, I passed the test, otherwise there would have been no need to write this piece.
Aladukemi, like I call her is a woman of many parts fit for my foibles.
She is tough and tender, fierce and feeble but above all, the one I am very pleased to pass off as my wife.
My wish for her is that she keeps being there for the kids and I till death do us part.
