As in the South West so it is in the South East

Sunday Igboho led the way in the South West with Governor Rotimi

Akeredolu in tow. Absentee Nnamdi Kanu is leading the way in the South East.

One common denominator in the Fulani question is fear. Fear of the Federal might.

I understand that Amotekun do not bear arms. How then can they protect their heritage?

The call for State Police cannot be substitited with community Policing. State Police will be totally funded by individual states and not the Federal Government.

Hisbah in the North, Amotekun in the South West and Eastern Security Network in the South East. Honestly, these are grassroot security outfits in response to local needs.

The only difference is that Hisbah is based on religion and enjoys the favour of Federal functionaries of Northern origin. This is because, criticizing Hisbah tantamount to political suicide for them.

That being the case the Federal Police cannot but tolerate their excesses lest they incur the wrath of their godfathers who have a people who enjoy servitude and so can dispense favours to whomever they choose in return for little favours.

Such favours include amoral relations with their relations and friends, stabbing their people in the back including but not limited to promoting Northern interests in local and international press.

On the other hand, local security outfits of southern origin have to operate in line with the whims and caprices of southern office holders who breath northern approval as oxygen.

Of this is Sunday Igboho made and Nnamdi Kanu made. Northern approval for southern politicians.

This is classic divide and rule. I will never tire of stating that it works because in the North, everybody knows his class but in the South, your class is your networth. If networking with northerners will make it happen, so be it.

In the process, those who should speak for their people and are so positioned do so with the interest of their godfathers of prime importance and therefore speak with fear.

BAT in the South West like Governors Kayode Fayemi and Seyi Makinde. In the East expect nothing from Dave Umahi and the rest I will not dignify with their identities.

Nature abhors a vacuum, where elected leaders fail to lead, others with a burning desire to lead  will takeover.

Today South Eastern Governors are playing catch up with Eastern Security Network.
