With PMB's style, there is no need for a smear campaign

         President Muhammad Buhari

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adeshina says there is a plan to mount

a smear campaign against PMB and I wonder if it is necessary.

What surprises me more is if Femi Adesina believes what he is saying. Time after Time, we have seen men of honour go into disrepute.

Femi Adesina was a respected Editor of a reputable Newspaper, no wonder less and less people keep faith with Newspapers.

The sad aspect is that ultimately, everyman has a price including yours truly.

A man of God once asked me to say what I wanted so that, he would pray for me, I told him, I wanted Salvation.

As a Christian, I know that to look for daily bread is not a tea party but like always, a good name is better than riches and where there is a will, there will be a way.

PMB is an avowed Fulani irredentist. He without, qualms, said the first people he gave political appointments to were those, who had suffered with him. He has spoken for Boko Haram and has spoken for Fulani herdsmen.

What other evidence does Femi Adesina need? Boko Haram are still waxing strong. Fulanis are still raping, maiming and kidnapping. If PMB could represent them out of power, now that he is in office, what has he done? Are they no longer his people?

PMB does not need a smear campaign. His style is smear campaign enough.

What he needs is redemption. As it is now, the ball is firmly in his court. From his certificate saga, Abacha loot and his opinion on it, Transparency International's rating of Nigeria and the various cases of corruption oozing out of his Government.

His best bet for redemption is to rein in his Fulani kiths and kin. Femi Adesina may not know it, but Nigerians need convincing that PMB is not solidly behind the Herdsmen.
