When will Boko Haram start sponsoring candidates in Nigerian Elections?

              Abubakar Shekau

I won't be surprised if they have candidates already. This question became

imperative granted that in spite of the  failings of the PDP government and the vituperations of then opposition APC, Boko Haram is waxing stronger.

While Boko Haram is freely buying arms in spite of their pariah status, our government is complaining of inability to buy arms.

Not too long ago some Nigerians were jailed abroad for sponsoring Boko Haram. Is it not possible that these same people who operated freely under the noses of our security operatives are also sponsoring politicians?

Think of it, Boko Haram cannot be waxing stronger and our government getting worsted without an element of sabotage within our body politic.

Late Chief of Army Staff, Owoeye Azazi once described Boko Haram as a product of PDP politics.

In spite of the fact that many today, who were in PDP have since crossed over to ruling APC, can Boko Haram still be called an offshoot of PDP politics?

Honestly, I will believe with a dose of difficulty if Boko Haram does not have a single politician on their payroll.

Recall, that GEJ, once proclaimed in exasperation that he was not sure, there were no Boko Haram elements in his government.

The day will come in no distant future if Boko Haram persists, that we will have their sympathizers openly campaigning for them.

It is on record, that PMB once led a discussion on behalf of Boko Haram.

Wether he is on the take is difficult to fathom but one thing is clear the zeal and determination to fight Boko Haram suffered a disability almost immediately after it started, with PMB, in the saddle.

What we are living with today is the domino effect of the tepid fight against Boko Haram for other armed gangs sensing the helplessness of government in the fight have chosen to try their luck and some how they are succeeding.

If APC goes and Boko Haram remains, trust politicians, they may start cutting deals with Boko Haram to gain grounds electorally.
