When Government does Business with Bandits

The year 2015 was the year the US had predicted that Nigeria will fall apart. 2015 came and Nigeria did not fall apart.

Instead Nigeria had bandits come into Nigeria at the behest of the government of the day. Talk of riding on the back of the Tiger.

For now, Nigeria is almost in the belly of the Tiger.

But how can the government of the day bring in bandits against themselves? It did not exactly happen that way.

The bandits were brought in for a cause that never happened. They were brought in to defend the APC votes.

The APC won and there were no votes to violently protect. Ab initio what the APC did was nothing short of Treason.

But their Marchevellian mind will not so advise them. What a country.

We are still growing. At 60 we are still learning.

Having brought in the bandits, to fight a non existent enemy, the question is what to do with them?

Send them back, you may say. Well it is not as easy as that. They were sourced from the Black Market. The documentation involved will just not stand in any court of competent jurisdiction. There lies our dilemma, the Nigerian debacle.

For a Sovereign country, it is a huge shame. The only silver lining is that having identified the problem, we are in a good place to at least look for answers.

With a unity of purpose, to tame the Tiger should be easier. The question is will that Unity come?
