Nigerian Army organizes seminar on spiritual warfare to tackle Boko Haram

Lt Gen. Tukur Buratai: Chief of Army Staff

Wonders shall never end. Organize what you will, but my worry is the

money involved.

Money no doubt is meant to be spent but there is something called value for money.

Religious fundamentalism may be  behind Boko Haram but their modus operandi have shown them to be for all intents and purposes irreligious.

What is giving them strength is not doctrine but privation and politics.

Those who are joining are not necessarily religious bigots but youths in search of a means of livelihood.

The politicians funding them are doing so for their selfish agenda. The spirit behind the seminar on spiritual warfare against Boko Haram is not the spirit of solution but the spirit of plunder.

A plunder of the resources of the State. There are clerics in the Army, but I will not be shocked if a private firm is behind the seminar and for good measure, the idea is clearly for profit, with a sharing ratio in place and pre payment already made.

For those in charge of our affairs, the saying that ' everyday is for the thief and one day is for the owner of the house' is as true yesterday as it is true, today.

If they have read the Bible, they would have known that what is said in a corner of the house, would be revealed at the rooftop.

Sure the deal was hushly done, but the secret would be revealed upon an investigation in due time.

For now, let the good times go on. Boko Haram is a huge business but not for very long. The day of reckoning may well be at the corner.
