Lekki killing, CNN, DJ Switch and Lai Mohammed
Lai Mohammed
Lai Mohammed is a Lawyer and he is asking for the bodies to prove that there was shooting and killing at Lekki
on Tuesday, 20th October 2020.Lai Mohammed was in Lagos State as Chief of Staff before going over to Kwara State to contest Governorship election there.
I had to give that information, to make it clear that Lai Mohammed knows his way around Lagos and can locate the Governor, Sanwo - Olu, if he so desires.
Sanwo - Olu who belongs to the same party as Lai Mohammed, did say that 1 person died and later he made it two.
If Lai Mohammed needs bodies to prove anything, he should contact Sanwo - Olu.
What I find intriguing in the whole matter of the Lekki shooting is the fact, that it was captured on Television.
Nothing surprises me in Nigeria. In 1978, I watched on government owned Nigerian Television Authority, as Late Olusola Saraki said that the missing N2.8bn missing oil money had been traced to an account in Midland bank in UK.
Then Saraki was senate Leader. Believe me you, the story quickly changed when Saraki was asked to mention the account name.
Then drama ensued. The female journalist who conducted the Interview, Vera Ifudu was sacked by Nigerian Television Authority. Governor Jim Nwobodo of old Anambra State employed her for the Anambra Broadcasting Service.
Dear compatriots, that was the end of the story. The news hunter became the haunted till she left Nigerian Television Authority.
If the present, situation degenerates further, I will not be surprised. However, I feel sad that those who are counselling that, a person who finds himself in a hole should, turn back rather than continue digging are being labelled as unpatriotic.
I cannot swear by any news channel, but commonsense dictates that when a news channel reports the truth, it should be applauded.
At last the truth of the Lekki shooting will be unmasked. Dj Switch will be exonerated.
So far the incident has dented many images including that of Sanwo - Olu and no less a personality than Kongi. I wonder when Olu Philips of Channels will give his own account because I watched him report the incident on Television.
I know that every man has a price but the truth is priceless.
