#EndSARS, why not the Nigerian Army?

For sixty years of Nigerian Independence, the army was in power

for 29 years. Then an ex soldier took the reins for eight years.

Another ex soldier is now in the saddle.

For their years of being in power, what do we have? A thirty month civil war. Coups and counter coups.

Soldiers are vaunted for their patriotism, but ours are giving us cause to cry and wonder why we should love our country?

Soldiers are known to ensure peace and security but not ours. Our nation is under siege, left, right and centre.

Every year money is voted for our Army. Every year, we long for good tidings from the army but no.

It is discontent, sabotage, leaders looting the defence budget and endangering the lives of their men.

As if the above are not bad enough listen to the red herrings from the army on the Lekki Massacre.

The SARS were killing in broad day light and rightly, they should and have been ended.

For every carnage by SARS, the Nigerian Army is far worse. Their end should be the beginning of a better Nigeria.
