Catherine Obianuju Udeh widely known as Dj Switch, the young lady

who filmed live on Instagram, the Lekki Shootings has landed safely in Canada, where she is now seeking Asylum.

This is not the kind of news the powers that be want to hear at all. The implication of her being outside the country is that her video evidence of the Lekki shooting can now be rebroadcast to the world.

It really makes the job of the Nigerian Army much more difficult. So far, from the Army, it is one tale after another.

Another implication of her being outside the country is the internationalization of the #EndSARS protest. For being there, if she could show bravery at home, who knows what she will not do abroad.

For my money, I think, it will bode us no good to make the struggle international, as I hear international Criminal Court is being mentioned.

To make matters more manageable, government should count their losses and respond with improved governance that can mollify the masses, while compensating the proven victims of police brutality.
