Yahaya Adoza Bello, a man to watch

           Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello

The creation of Kogi state was greeted with violence. As a 60 year old with aspirations to contribute to leadership

in my country, I am very uncomfortable with the recurring theme of new leadership for youths only.

The sad part is that the definition of youth is so fluid that numbers are emerging placing my age mates at a disadvantage.

The subject of this discourse is the youngest governor in Nigeria, Yahaya Adoza Bello. For some reasons this young man who benefited from the death of Abubakar Audu is gaining a lot of publicity.

First of all, he worsted the Mushin boy who was BAT's choice to replace Abubakar Audu, I am referring to James Faleke.

Not done yet, he trounced Dino Melaye to emerge Governor for a second term and he is still 45.

The election in which he trounced Dino Melaye by a wide margin was so violent that it earned him a US Visa Ban.

That Yahaya Bello is young is not the issue here but the kind of publicity he is courting.

The last round of protests, riots and looting in Nigeria are not without their controversies and prominent among the controversies are the roles of Yahaya  Bello and BAT.

First, it was BAT sponsoring the riots to discredit PMB. Next, Yahaya Bello has sponsored about 2000 thugs to cause destruction in Lagos.

Not done, Yahaya Bello is saying the riots are politically motivated. Then, speaking for the Nigerian Governors Forum, he says the looted Palliatives were being kept for the next wave of Covid - 19.

The question is what makes Yahaya Bello tick? Is he about to replace El Rufai as the enfant terrible of the north. By the way, El Rufai has been off the scene. What is up?

Now, I imagine that Bukola Saraki squared up with BAT. Is it the turn of Yahaya Bello?
