Try it, it worked for me

I have always had a passion for teaching. When my wife celebrated my fiftieth birthday for me, I was working in a Financial Institution.

Most of the eulogies were about my teaching prowess. I did not find it funny. How can I be having my birthday as a Financial Sector worker and be termed a teacher?

Today, in my sixtieth birthday, it is worse but unlike when I was Fifty and working in a financial institution, I am now enjoying it.

Although I am ashamed to admit it, the reason I did not study Education was because, I felt I deserved better.

No one can run away from his shadow. The accolades I am getting today from my past students is down to the Grace of God and a trick I practise that works like magic.

In the Financial sector, Know Your Customer is key. You know what?

That is my magic wand in teaching. Know your student. It works wonders.

No one takes offence from your knowing him or her, except the person has evil intentions.

Once a student knows you know him or her, next he or she wants to know what else you know, then both of you are in business.

But please, now that Demand has been generated, kindly know your subject. Do not teach what you do not know. Seek help if possible.

With that you will be respected. Respect yourself and your students will respect you.

Till next time, cheers.
