Riding on the back of the Tiger
When GEJ mentioned that he was not sure, Boko Haram was not in his government, many people waved it aside.
Before him late Army Chief Owoeye
Army Chief: Tukur Yusuf BurataiAzazi probably paid with his life for speaking along the same lines.
Today Boko Haram is not attacking soft targets but fortified places with possible inside information.
Since we are not a Banana republic, something urgent needs to be done, lest one day, we are not forced to sit across a table with representatives of Boko Haram negotiating power sharing or territorial control.
GEJ was hamstrung in purchasing arms no thanks to our political gladiators in their narrow mindedness. What I pray is the excuse today?
No money? No men? No officers? No stomach for the fight?
Surely there are rumours that to fight Boko Haram squarely will tantamount to fighting ' Our people'.
If they are some people's people, then those people should realize that those who ride on the back of a tiger would sooner or later end up in the belly of the tiger.
To be fore warned is to be forearmed.
