Who is Evans Enwerem?

Evan Enwerem
Obj has severally been favoured to change the fortunes of Nigeria but each time, he tries, he ends up on a controversial note. On a platter of gold, he was given Nigeria's Presidency to placate the Yorubas over the death of MKO Abiola.
His Presidency saw a number of scandals all in a bid to disrespect and sabotage the principle of Separation of Powers. Although Obj is not among the most lettered of Nigerian Presidents, his aspirations are world class.
                             OBJ
He is the only Nigerian leader who has aspired to the office of UN Secretary General. He is also a prolific writer and likes to rub shoulders with world leaders.
However, Obj can be as crude as they come. He is almost Machiavellian in not minding tactics but more concerned with results. At the commencement of the fourth Republic, two heads of Nigeria's Bicameral Legislature were enmeshed in scandal all because, apparently Obj wanted a pliable Legislature and not one that will be in-amenable to arm twisting.
The story of Salisu Buhari had already been carried by this Blog. Today is about the first Senate President of the fourth Republic who got into office with the backing of Obj.
No sooner had Evan Enwerem settled into office than the story of his malfeasance and unsuitability broke. That of Salisu Buhari was courtesy of The News Magazine. Not to be out done, Tell Magazine followed with its own accusations.
Our hallowed Senate President had done time in the US and had lied about his Certificates and his Secondary School.
One of the things he said in his defence before his impeachment in the Senate, is that the fellow, who did time in a US jail was Evans Enwerem and not himself Evan Enwerem.
So that was the birth of the Evans and Evan debate. The former Senate President, who did not own up, did not apologize and did not resign unlike Salisu Buhari, who owned up, resigned, faced prosecution, was convicted and fined, has since died.
But the question remains, where or who is the Evans that did time in the US?
